Slab is planed on both sides. It will require a mild sanding and a finish as you desire. It is unfinished.
Notice the amazing heartwood. This was an enormous tree. This slab consist of only heartwood.
Highly figured DIY artistic slab of Black Walnut with deep, rich tones.
It is approx 14 1/4- 14 1/2 inches wide throughout the length.
It is just about 38 1/2- 39 inches long.
It is just barely under 1 5/8 inch thick.
It is a fantastic highly desirable Black Walnut rustic log slab. If you need additional picture angles of a certain area please let me know.
The photos show both sides. Very nice dark heartwood on this piece.
A light mist of water was applied for most of the photos to represent a finish.. You can see the deep, rich brown variations.
These are beautiful rustic pieces with occasional chips, cracks, frayed edges, etc.
It is square cut. One end is cut smooth the other is saw blade marked.
Please carefully consider if pieces this rustic will meet your needs.
There is no extra sanding. The moisture content is about 10% on our meter.
